Wishing everyone a safe and fun Halloween! CDRC celebrated with a costume day at school. We love seeing the creativity of our children and families!
Spanish lessons started at CDRC this week! We were so pleased to welcome back Teacher Emma, and get her started in her new role as CDRC Spanish Teacher. Emma grew up hearing Spanish spoken in her community and at school. Once in college, she began studying Spanish in an official capacity, and spent two years living in Mexico City absorbing the linguistic culture.
This week's lessons included reading Green Eggs and Ham, kinesthetic movement prompts (run, jump, stop), and a song about chocolate. Of course, all of this in Spanish! The children are loving learning, and we cannot wait to see what next week's lesson's bring! |
AuthorCDRC staff are true believers in the work that is done there and through the sister programs of the Smart Studio and Coastal Family Resource Center. Archives
